Summer Camp

San Francisco, Santa Clara, Sacramento. Three weekends of ski/snowboard festivals under our belts and we are pumped about the enthusiasm we’ve received from customers and people in the industry! After the first Saturday in Fort Mason I could barely talk, but I had a blast. That Saturday was the busiest day I’ve seen at the shows for sure. Tim, Joanne and I barely had a chance to eat, let alone sit down, all day.

Being at the shows, immersed in the ski/snowboarding culture, made me feel back at home in Jackson, Wyoming. San Francisco is an incredible place to be, but I definitely miss the ‘laid back’ feeling of living in a resort town. The energy surrounding the industry at the shows had me stoked to be a part of it again. We worked long days and had a blast out on the town after closing the show down for the night.

While winding down during the last hour of the Sacramento show a friend of mine from Boreal Mountain reminisced about the past three weekends, “It’s like summer camp. You go to all these shows, make new friends and then it ends. We won’t all be together again until next year.” We’ll always have the memories! Jagermeister girls walking around Fort Mason wearing nothing but lingerie (they must have been freezing!), the BMX ramp, Sierra at Tahoe mini skate ramp, rock wall and let’s not forget the Sierra at Tahoe mock ski slope. There were the cutest little kids learning how to ski! I met a lot of awesome people with the ‘work hard, play hard’ attitude who I hope to keep in contact with as the season continues. Can’t wait for my first trip out to the slopes!
