The Interview

When I interviewed for Pop Outerwear, Joanne and Tim invited me over for a BBQ. From the get-go, I knew the interview process alone would be a unique experience.  Over a delicious sausage and salad we discussed my goals and thoughts about working with pop.

As an intern, I am rebounding from teaching/directing a small preschool for a year. Once I realized that child psychology wasn’t my career directionality of choice, I started looking into different career paths. I became interested in the startup industry because of the shared values startups so often share with academia.

In our hour long conversation through lunch, I learned about how Pop Outerwear started and what makes Pop different from other outerwear companies (more to come on future posts). I left excited for the opportunity to work with Pop and a week later, I arrived excited to work with this awesome company.
